Avaz Observation Deck

Experience Sarajevo in a completely new way from the panoramic viewpoint of the Avaz Twist Tower. At a height of 172 meters, it offers a spectacular 360° view of the city and the surrounding mountains.
The Avaz Twist Tower, developed and owned by the largest media company in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Avaz-roto press, is also the headquarters of the leading daily newspaper Dnevni avaz. The tower was designed by architect Faruk Kapidžić. With a height of 172 meters and a total area of 32,000 square meters, it is the tallest building in Southeast Europe and has been one of Sarajevo's most recognizable symbols since its opening in May 2009.

360° view of the city

The tower rests on foundations 30 meters deep, and its construction used 23,000 cubic meters of concrete, three million kilograms of steel, and more than 200,000 glass facade elements. Over 10,000 light fixtures illuminate the interior, while the exterior glass design reflects Sarajevo's modern identity.
Visitors reach the top in just a few seconds using ultra-fast panoramic elevators, among the fastest in Europe.
Whether by day or night, the view from the tower represents one of Sarajevo's highlights.
Internationally recognized, Avaz Twist Tower was ranked among the ten most beautiful buildings in the world in 2009 by Schüco.

The exterior of the building consists of more than 200,000 unique elements, each precisely numbered and placed.
Avaz Twist Tower is also the headquarters of Dnevni avaz, one of the most influential media houses in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Twisting effect

Avaz Twist Tower was named after its distinctive spiral shape, which gently "twists" along the entire height of the building.
The tower rotates by an average of 1.53° per floor, creating a total twist of about 60° from base to top.
